GirlguidingUK is the national Guiding organisation for the United Kingdom, Girl Guiding was founded in 1910 by Robert Baden Powell, after an increasing number of girls showed intrest in the Scout Movement.Robert Baden Powell's sister Agnes took over as leader of the movment, and later his wife became involved too.
Girlguiding UK is a charitable organisation and adult leaders are not paid for their time.
Today the Association has more than 600,000 members and continues to be the largest girl only youth organisation in the UK.
